Schedule and FAQ

Competitor Check in begins at 7:30 AM. Tournament begins at 8:30 AM.

Please remember to bring all your sparring gear, mouth guards and cups (for men).

You will compete in ALL your events in your division, then head to awards after you are finished.

Division brackets run continuously run all day beginning at 8:30 AM, starting with the YOUNGEST ages in each group. We will have TWO rings for each division (2 Novice, 2 Intermediate, 2 Advanced and 2 Black Belt rings).  

​Please remember each division takes 1.5-2 hours, but we run rings back-to-back so hang out and cheer the other competitors on while you wait for your division.

If you are competing FIRST (at 8:30am) you will receive a separate email the Friday before the competition. Please check your email and arrive early.

Each division bracket runs about 1.5 hours, sometimes 2 hours for the double elimination sparring event. 

You will be assigned a division at competitor checkin. When your division is called, please bring all your sparring gear, mouth guards, cups (for men), weapons and everything you need to compete to the STAGING AREA.

"Staging" will be a designated area of the bleachers. At staging, you will join the other competitors in your division and then be taken to the assigned ring.

You will compete in all events with your division (forms, sparring, weapons, power breaking, etc).

Awards will be presented immediately following each division on the medals platform.

There are 8 Competition Rings running simultaneously throughout the day.

We typically keep ALL division levels running so spectators can watch multiple competition ages at once. This strategy allows for smooth transitions between divisions and minimal downtime between. ​

The Omega Tao Federation began hosting an inter-school tournament in 2004, which then grew to include all martial art schools in Utah. This is an open-style tournament for all ranks and ages to compete. Competitors will learn the values of:
